The Indonesia Electronic Customs Declaration (ECD) is a digital system introduced to streamline the customs clearance process for travelers entering Indonesia, making the arrival experience faster, safer, and more efficient. All international visitors—regardless of nationality or visa requirements—are required to complete the ECD before entering the country.

This online procedure is part of Indonesia’s initiative to modernize border operations and enhance customs and security screening. Whether you're visiting for tourism, business, family visits, or transiting through the country, the ECD ensures that essential personal, travel, and customs information is submitted in advance for a smoother entry process.

From exploring the cultural richness of Yogyakarta to relaxing on the beaches of Bali or trekking through the jungles of Sumatra, completing the ECD is an essential step in preparing for your journey to Indonesia.

FAQs

The Electronic Customs Declaration (e-CD or ECD) is an official digital customs form that all travelers entering Indonesia (by air, sea, or land) must complete prior to arrival. It replaces the traditional paper customs declaration form (BC 2.2) and ensures declarations for personal items, cash, and restricted goods are submitted in advance
